2002 Lambda Literary Awards
New York, New York
Ron met comedian Margaret Cho and her parents after Margaret was
presented with an award at the 2002 Lambda Literary Awards, which
Ron covered for Advocate.com.
More than 300 authors, booksellers, editors, publishers, readers and
industry professionals gathered for the 14th Annual Lambda Literary
Awards, or The Lammies, as they're better known. The awards, which
recognize outstanding achievement and merit in GLBT literature, were
presented at a gala ceremony in New York's Tribeca area.

Chicago, Illinois
The first reading in Chicago during Bear Pride / ImrL weekend was
held at the Gerber-Hart GLBT Library in the Edgewater area.
Also at Gerber-Hart, Bearotica contributor Eric Karnowski read from
his story, "A Bear In August."
Ron with two bear-book-loving buddies at the Boystown Borders

A leisurely breakfast at Ann Sathers' Restaurant, the main Bear

An enthusiastic crowd of more than 45 people attended the Vancouver
reading held at Little Sisters bookstore.
Janine, co-owner of Little Sisters, welcomed the group and
introduced ...
... James Johnstone, editor of two anthologies to which Ron
contributed, who then introduced Ron at the reading.

The reading at Seattle's Bailey/Coy bookstore proved one of the
best-attended on the tour, attracting a crowd of more than 60 folks!
